COP26: November 1-12 2021
The United Kingdom is hosting the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow from Monday, 1 November – Friday, 12 November 2021, in partnership with Italy.
The UK is prioritising the following campaigns for COP26:
• Adaptation and resilience • Nature • Energy transition • Clean road transport • Finance
We are currently not planning on organising any RE100-led events but would like to take this opportunity to highlight some key activities taking place during COP26. Please note some of these events are ‘invite only’ or via application due to capacity:
- RAISE: unlocking corporate procurement of renewable electricity in South Africa

Earlier this year RE100 launched RAiSE, our South African hub ran in partnership with NBI, CDP and WBCSD. In keeping with the momentum around the country's renewables developments we will share our plans and ambition, along with practical insights into some of the key issues and opportunities around corporate procurement of renewables in the South African context.
- Shifting systems roundtable series (invite only)
When - Thursday 4 November – Tuesday 9 November Where - Equator Events
Each Roundtable brings together critical stakeholders from across Climate Group’s networks to co-create a series of recommendations for short term actions and influential levers that could start to shift critical elements within key emitting systems towards a net zero future. showcase the highest levels of ambition and innovative solutions on zero emission vehicles from manufacturers, businesses, cities, states and regions.
- Climate Group Drinks Reception

Following the RouteZero event and the Roundtable Series, the Climate Group will be hosting a drinks reception at a pop-up whisky bar at Skypark which delegates, speakers and participants are invited to attend.
BNEF Pioneers 2022
The BNEF Pioneers program identifies the most impactful and original technology innovations for advancing the low-carbon economy. In 2022, the program has chosen three global net-zero challenges to focus on and will award the Pioneers prize to innovators with scalable, impactful and equitable solutions to these challenges. REBA Connect: 2021 Virtual Fall Forum: 16-18 November
The Fall Forum will explore a broad range of topics from U.S. energy procurement trends to international engagements to supply chain, and learn what’s happening in the U.S. Federal policy space and how it will affect the future of renewables. By discussing market trends, challenges and barriers, members will engage in solution-driven activities through moderated workshops and structured networking

REC Market Meeting 2021: 30 November & 1 December 2021
Announcing its 10th annual conference, the REC Market Meeting is a well-recognized pillar among renewable energy market events. Energy producers, consumers, traders, regulators, and advocates will come together to engage, connect, and share expertise. The conference covers topics such as 24/7 matching, hydrogen certification, full disclosure, and procurement models. The conference also offers introductory sessions.
